Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like BTS “Save Me”

Yes, I am late on this. And yes, I’ve been MIA again. What’s new?

Oh, I know what’s new! I’ve been MIA because my boyfriend broke up with me three hours after he proposed and I said yes!

Yes, that is a true story.

Why did he take it all back? Because, after a year and a half of being madly in love with me, he suddenly decided that he “wants to live freely.”

Yet a week later, he bought an apartment with his ex, and they have been sleeping in the same bed ever since.

Anyway, I haven’t been able to function for awhile, which is why I haven’t been on here. But I am starting to get a little less bad, so I think I can start to blog and write again. We will see.

And now it’s the time for “Save Me,” one of my most favorite songs from BTS. If you haven’t listened to it or seen the music video, then please check it out here:

And now please check out my actual blog post on how to dress like Bangtan in this video:

Bangtan Style: How to Dress like BTS “Save Me”

Okay, so I’m gonna be honest from the get-go:

  1. This is probably the easiest outfit you could ever make.
  2. I look like a man in every single photo below, cause I was too heartbroken to put on makeup.

Yay for honesty. Now look at what my outfit was based upon:

Simple. Neutral. Beautiful.

Now take a look at my version.

While my landscape is certainly not as barren as Bangtan’s, I think my outfit does a splendid job at capturing the video’s style.

As I said above, creating an outfit based on this video is quite simple. All you need is an oversized T-shirt in black or white, some black skinny jeans, and some sick kicks. Oh, and a long sleeve shirt or thin sweatshirt to add for layering purposes.

Since it’s nearing spring, I recommend ditching the sweatshirt and opting instead for the short-sleeve-over-long-sleeve look. The different sleeve lengths look sharp together, so long as they are different colors (such as black and white). So beware, for if they aren’t, they will just look sloppy.

Any sort of baggy, angsty graphic shirt is okay. Mine is from a Daughtry concert I went to way back in high school (lololol). It was probably his last concert ever, but fun fact: I was front row, he held my hand and serenaded me, and I got his drummer’s autographed drumstick. #WorthIt

Anyway, once you get the vibe down with your shirt, pair it with some jeans that are tight. If they aren’t giving you a nice, snug hug, then they’re too loose to look okay with the flowy shirt.

And that is all! Easy, right?

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like BTS “WINGS” Concept Photos

Leah, where have you been???

I apologize for not posting yet this year, and I also apologize for waiting several months to do an outfit series related to BTS’ latest album/music video. To be honest, I’ve been busy with traveling and work and school, and I also just kind of hate the style BTS has going on right now. So I’ve been hesitant to recreate anything. But, well, duty calls, and over the weekend, I finally manned up and shot an outfit.

The outfit you are about to see is based entirely upon the WINGS concept photos. An outfit (or outfits, idk yet) for “Blood Sweat & Tears,” BTS’ latest music video, will be coming later.

I doubt there will be many posts in these two series, but we will see. (Sorry in advance, but it’s kind of hard to style when you hate the clothing you’re working with.)

Now, without further ado, let’s begin.

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like BTS “WINGS” Concept Photos

The following images were the inspiration for this post:

So many, I know.

And now here is what my version looks like:

It is based on V’s outfit and Jungkook’s shoes (if you couldn’t tell, lol).

The reason I chose V’s outfit to recreate was simply because it is the most do-able. It involves no fake pajamas [which are gross], and the shades of fabric aren’t too flashy for everyday use. It’s neutral yet stylish and fun, and it also uses a bomber jacket, which we all know how I feel about bomber jackets. ❤ ❤ ❤

I used my sparkly oxfords that sort of look like Jungkook’s loafers to capture the funkiness of everyone’s shoes, sans slippers [cause fake slippers are also gross]. I think they add a wonderful pop to an otherwise bland outfit.

Aren’t they great??

And that is all! As I’m sure you noticed, I didn’t look at the camera once in these photos. That’s because, when I took them, my eyes were dilated like you wouldn’t believe, so I physically couldn’t open them outside. Gotta love eye appointments.

But yeah, as always, thank you for reading, and in case you want to see more, you can check out the last Bangtan Style post I did here.

Until next time ❤

Holiday Makeup: Red Lip

There is absolutely nothing like a red lip around the holidays. Why? Because it’s fun and bright and fresh while also being incredibly simple and easy to do. It’s probably the look that I wear most around the holidays, with shades ranging from deep oxblood to bright scarlet. The possibilities are endless, yet every one is equally stunning.

Here’s a peek at all the products I used to create the look you see above (and below). (Sorry for the bad lighting.) The specific lipstick is Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw. It’s an incredibly pigmented red that goes on smooth and lasts forever without really drying your lips (although I always put lip balm on throughout the day, so that might also help).

If you don’t have one of her liquid lipsticks, though, you’re definitely missing out. They’re amazing.

But yeah. If you’re stumped as to what makeup you should try this holiday season, definitely consider a simple face contrasted with nice, bold lips. It kills it every time. You can also amp up the look with some neutral shadow and cat liner, as well as dewy highlighter.

And that is all! Thanks so much for reading, and have a lovely day.

Until next time ❤

The Perfect Winter Cardigan

What says battling the cold more than a giant red sweater with a big Canadian maple leaf?

I think nothing.

(Excuse my lack of makeup. Please and thanks.)

Obviously, as you can tell by all the green, I photographed this many months ago. However, due to a ridiculously busy semester at school, I never actually got the chance to post it. So it’s just been chilling in the drafts folder of my blog since September. Good job, Leah.

Anyway, since every road where I live is currently covered in an inch of ice (which means I can’t go to work yet this morning), let me tell you about the wonderful sweater you see above.

I bought it in Epcot, actually, because I love Canada and always have to purchase something from the Canadian pavilion each time I’m in Disney World. At the time I bought it, I didn’t think I would be able to wear it too often, but it actually turns out to be a better looking garment than I thought.

I’m not going to lie, though: I haven’t worn this sweater since I photographed it. I think it might just be a little too colorful for my typical palette of black and navy and gray, but now that it is getting ridiculously cold out, I should be better about putting it on, especially around my house.

And especially because it’s such a festive shade of red! #Christmas

And that is all! Thanks for reading, and I hope to talk to you again soon.

Until next time ❤

My New Hair

About a month and a half ago, I went from looking like this:

(With hair all the way down to my butt)

To looking like this:

With hair stopping at my collar bone.

They cut about 10 inches off, and it feels so, so weird. I haven’t had hair this short since high school, and now that it’s back, I don’t really know what to do. It dries quickly, it’s easy to untangle, I can style it. It’s definitely a nice change from before, but it’s definitely something I’m going to have to get used to.

However, I’m sure you’re all wondering what made me do it. Honestly, I’m not sure. Two weeks ago, I had a conversation about how I will never have short hair again because I just don’t like the way it looks on me. But then I went and chopped it all off. I’m a strange one sometimes.

I think, though, that this is going to be a really nice change from the normal, and I’m excited for that.

(Although I’m not excited that my phone broke and I no longer have any of the pictures that I was actually going to put in this post. *cries*)

And finally, to address the most important thing: I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL!

Christmas break officially started at 3:33 p.m. yesterday afternoon, when I finished my last final. Just two more semesters to go, guys. Just two more semesters to go.

So there will be many, many more posts up on here in the coming weeks. Yay!

But now I have a doctor’s appointment. Lucky me. Thanks for reading, and have a blessed day.

Until next time ❤

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like Jungkook in BTS’ ‘Young Forever’ Concept Photos

I might actually have a heart attack by the end of this semester. Also, I better hurry my butt up with this ‘Young Forever’ crap, cause ‘Wings’ is dropping in, like, a week and a half. Ughhhhh.

So excited for new music, but I have no time for new posts.

Anyway, tonight we continue this series. To see the last post in it, click here, and to see the next one once it is up, click here. Now please enjoy this one.

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like Jungkook in BTS’ ‘Young Forever’ Concept Photos

Okie dokie, here is the inspiration behind my look:

And here is the actual look I came up with:

It’s equestrian chic, just like the original but a little more wearable and feminine. And with the shirt layered underneath, it’s the perfect way to transition into fall.

For a more casual take on it, feel free to replace the kitten heels with flats or loafers.

And also feel free to add a pop of navy with a cardigan, blazer, or jacket, especially if it’s cold outside. I would have done so myself, but the day I photographed this was freaking hot. So no outerwear for me.

And that is all! I really like this look, even though it’s not necessarily my own personal style. I hope you enjoyed it, too.

Thanks so much for reading, and once again, click here for the last post in this series / here for the next.

Until next time ❤

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like Jimin in BTS’ ‘Young Forever’ Concept Photos

I went to Disney, started school, and broke my thumb. Things have been very busy in my life lately, hence why I haven’t been posting very often. Apologies, as always.

Anyway, let’s continue this Bangtan Style series, cause it’s currently the only thing I have photographed.

To see the last post I did in it, click here. To see the next one once it is up, click here. Now please enjoy the rest of my post 🙂

Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like Jimin in BTS’ ‘Young Forever’ Concept Photos

A’ight, here is the inspiration behind my outfit:

Wow, those photos got really distorted. Thanks, WordPress.

Anyway, I absolutely despise this look. To my core, 100 percent, this is the worst thing anyone has ever put on. I don’t care if it’s Gucci. Just cause it’s designer, it doesn’t mean it’s cute.

But I can’t discriminate, right? I mean, if the stylist liked the outfit enough to put it on Jimin, then other people out there probably like it, too.

So here is how to recreate it, even despite my feelings. (Warning: Drastic changes were made.)

I ixnayed the beret and kept the denim, red, and white by swapping out the ’90s tie jacket and weird shorts for an oversized shirt and circle skirt.

This created what I feel is a much more attractive, wearable outfit that’s perfect for going anywhere during the current transition from summer to fall.

And it’s comfy. Not saying that the one Jimin has on isn’t, cause I don’t know about that. But this outfit? Comfort gold.

And that is all!

Wow, I can’t believe I actually had time to do a blog post today. The world must be ending or something.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading! Click here for the last post in this series and here for the next.

Toodles ❤
